Green container wall.

Solution:

for local communities

This type of green wall consists of a supporting structure, which can be attached to a properly secured wall or is a stand-alone structure. Various containers, filled with soil substrate, are attached to this structure. These containers are then planted with vegetation, which due to its mass creates the effect of a green wall.

Location: Indoors and outdoors.

Irrigation: Self-amalgamating.

Plants used: Annuals, perennials.

For Professionals.

There are many ready-made container green wall systems available on the market today. These are whole pallets/systems of containers integrated with each other, in which single plants or those in individual pots can be placed. This type of green wall is also built through various types of gutters or troughs, which can be integrated with trellises to allow planting climbers at higher heights.

The systems are integrated with automatic irrigation systems.

Example from Paris.

Examples from Paris show how easy it is to create a green wall using only plants in pots.

Buenos Aires

A simple to make green wall from recycled materials.

It can be constructed using the usual pots, to which we attach holders that can be hung on a specially prepared structure. It can be either free-standing or attached to a damp-proof wall.

An interesting solution is an idea seen in Buenos Aires, where for the construction of a green wall long PVC pipes were used, 1/3 of the pipe was cut off creating something like a gutter, in which soil substrate was placed and then plants were put.

Annual plants, which tend to cascade, will do best in this system. You can water the cupboard yourself or use a simple irrigation system. You can use the structures for planting vegetables.
